Your privacy matters to us

MindzEye Inc. (“MindzEye,” “we,” “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who visits our website, takes part in our programs or contacts us. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it and how we protect it.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

We collect what you choose to share when you:

• send a booking request or a get-involved message
• make a donation
• sign up for our newsletter
• apply to take part in a program or event
• email, call or message us on social media

This can include your name, email address, phone number, organization, city and anything you write in a message.

Information collected automatically

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It doesn’t use cookies, doesn’t track you across other websites and doesn’t identify you. Our hosting provider also keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) to keep the site secure.

Cookies

This website doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies. The secure donation checkout, run by Stripe, may use cookies it needs to process your payment safely and prevent fraud.

2. How we use your information

• to reply to your messages and booking requests
• to process donations and send receipts and acknowledgment letters
• to send program news and events, only if you signed up for them
• to improve our website, content and outreach
• to meet legal and nonprofit reporting requirements
• to connect you with the programs or resources that fit your needs

We will never sell, rent or trade your personal information.

3. How we share your information

We share information only in these limited cases:

• with service providers that run parts of the site for us: Cloudflare (hosting and analytics), Stripe (donations) and our email provider (delivering form messages and newsletters), each bound by its own privacy and security terms
• when the law requires it, in response to a valid legal request
• with program partners, only with your clear consent and only as needed to connect you with services

4. Donations and financial information

Online donations are processed by Stripe, a secure payment processor. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored on our website or servers. We keep donation records for nonprofit accounting and IRS reporting as the law requires.

Donors who give $250 or more receive a written acknowledgment letter for tax purposes. MindzEye Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, EIN 93-4776829. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

5. Children’s privacy

MindzEye serves youth and young adults, but this website isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information, contact us and we will remove it promptly. For program participants under 18, we collect only what’s needed to take part, with a parent’s or guardian’s consent as appropriate.

6. Data security

Every page and form on this site is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), and we take reasonable technical and organizational steps to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we are committed to appropriate safeguards.

7. Your rights and choices

• ask to see the personal information we hold about you
• ask us to correct it
• ask us to delete it, subject to legal record-keeping requirements
• unsubscribe from emails at any time with the link in any email, or by contacting us

8. Links to other websites

Our site links to social media, partner organizations and videos on YouTube. MindzEye isn’t responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their policies when you visit them.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. When we do, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
